for the first time, owl art studio has created a hanging sculpture: a venture into the form of the “mobile”, no base or pedestal to the floor below.

this is appropriate to our ongoing exploration of the bird form; plus, it adds the dimension of having space all around, so that all parts of the piece can be seen against empty air itself… quite a different effect.

the plan is to have three byrds in flight, each moving individually, all three connected to be seen as one moving unit.
